Dr. Ayman El-Hatab, MD, FAAP, FACMG
CONSULTANT CLINICAL GENETICS
Dr. Ayman El-Hattab graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology, then he continued his postgraduate education in the USA. After finishing pediatric residency he joined Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, where he did a fellowship in clinical genetics and another fellowship in biochemical genetics. Dr. El-Hattab has three American Boards: the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Board of Clinical Genetics, and the American Board of Biochemical Genetics (Metabolic).
Dr. Ayman El-Hattab is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics. He is also a member of the American Society of Human Genetics, the European Society of Human Genetics, the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism, the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders, and the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
Dr. Ayman El-Hattab is Consultant Clinical Genetics who has more than 10 years of experience in the field of genetics as he worked in USA (Baylor College of Medicine and University of Missouri), Saudi Arabia (King Fahad Medical City), and the United Arab Emirates (Tawam Hospital).
Dr. Ayman El-Hattab is also an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah. He has over 100 publications in scientific journals. He presented a large number of abstracts in several international conferences. He also conducted several clinical trials. His research fields include chromosomal abnormalities, inborn errors of metabolism (metabolic diseases), mitochondrial disorders, neurogenetic disorders, cancer genetics, and novel gene-disease discovery.
