The ABC & D’s of water safety.
Here is a great way to remember the basics of water safety with children:
A is for Adult Supervision – it should be one adult’s sole responsibility to supervise children in the water at all times.
B is for Barriers – If you have a pool, the safest option is to have a fence.
C is for Classes – Enroll your children in swim lessons and yourself and your caregivers in CPR classes.
D is for Devices & drains – Life jackets and rescue tools should be used. An often forgotten one is drains which are the vacuum systems used to clean pools and ensure safety covers are fixed well.
