
Maria Patsioura is a special education consultant and autism specialist in Dubai with over 20 years of experience in early childhood, nursery, and primary education. She holds a Master of Education in Special Education: Autism (Children) from the University of Birmingham, UK, where she received the Penny Lacey Masters Dissertation Prize. She also holds a Bachelor of Education in Pedagogy, Philosophy and Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and an NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children & Young People, UK.
Maria has worked across diverse educational settings, including special needs schools, mainstream classrooms, and therapy centres. She delivers tailored interventions that support children’s individual learning needs while empowering families and caregivers with education and practical strategies.
Her approach is grounded in evidence-based interventions, including Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Individualised Education Plans (IEPs). She provides parent consultation, case management, school shadowing, and training for learning support assistants (LSAs). Maria also runs structured social skills programmes to help children build communication, play, and social interaction skills.
