Dr Fiona Rennie

Family Medicine Consultant

Dr Fiona Rennie graduated from medical school in New Zealand and then practised medicine in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. From 1994 to 1999 she worked as a GP-Obstetrician in Wellington, New Zealand delivering up to 80 babies each year as well as practising family medicine. In 1999 she moved to Australia to practice general, aviation and diving medicine for the Royal Australian Navy. In 2005, Dr Fiona moved to Dubai to take up a position with Emirates Airline as a General Practitioner and Aviation Medical Specialist and in 2009 was appointed Vice President of Aviation and Occupational Medicine, holding this management position for seven years while continuing to provide primary health care at Emirates. In 2016 she left Emirates and spent the following 3.5 years at Valiant Clinic, Meraas Healthcare as a Consultant in Family Medicine. During the 15 years, she has worked in Dubai; she has become an integral part of many families general health and wellbeing across many specialities.

  • Acute illnesses such as fever, infections, colds and flu, headaches, back pain.
  • Chronic disease management including diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure and weight management.

  • Injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Skin Conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis.
  • Minor surgery procedures such as removal of skin lesions, abscesses, IUCD and implant removal.
  • Aviation Medicine: New Zealand and Australian Aviation Class 1, 2 and 3 medicals (NZCAA, CASA)

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. University of Otago, New Zealand
  • Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, New Zealand
  • Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Australia
  • Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK
  • Diploma in Paediatrics, University of Auckland, New Zealand
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Aviation Medicine, University of Otago, New Zealand
