Dr Peter Loizou is a British-trained Consultant ENT, Head & Neck Surgeon in Dubai with extensive experience in adult and paediatric ENT, advanced head and neck surgery, and rhinoplasty.

 

He completed his specialist surgical training in the UK and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He later undertook advanced fellowship training in head and neck surgery in Sydney, Australia, alongside specialist training in Trans-Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS) in the United States.

 

Dr Peter provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for a wide range of ear, nose and throat conditions. His specialist surgical expertise includes benign and malignant head and neck conditions, thyroid surgery, minimally invasive head and neck surgery, paediatric ENT, and functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty.

 

His approach centres on clear communication, evidence-based medicine and coordinated multidisciplinary care, helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options at every stage.

Dr Peter holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Biology from King’s College London and completed his medical degree at the University of Southampton.

 

He completed his postgraduate ENT and head and neck surgical training across leading UK hospitals before achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, FRCS (ORL-HNS).

 

Dr Peter also holds a Master’s in Surgical Education from Imperial College London and is a Diplomate of Imperial College London.

 

His advanced subspecialty training includes an Advanced Head and Neck Fellowship at Westmead Hospital and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney, Australia, and specialist Trans-Oral Robotic Surgery training in Florida, USA.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Peter is an Adjunct Associate Professor in ENT, Head and Neck Surgery at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai. He contributes to medical education, clinical examinations, research supervision and the development of future doctors.

 

Dr Peter has contributed to peer-reviewed medical publications and specialist surgical textbooks, with academic work spanning head and neck surgery, ENT, robotic surgery and surgical education. He has also served as a reviewer for surgical research and contributed to clinical ethics, research and multidisciplinary committees.

 

His professional memberships include the Royal College of Surgeons of England, ENT UK, the British Laryngological Association, the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and the British Association of Head & Neck Oncologists.

Dr Peter has a strong interest in the responsible use of technology and innovation in healthcare. Alongside his clinical and academic work, he advises healthcare and technology organisations, with interests in precision medicine, cancer care, artificial intelligence and healthcare governance.

 

His work explores how advances in science and technology can translate into practical improvements in patient care while maintaining a strong focus on evidence, safety, ethics and trust.
