
Dr Bariah is a leading Consultant Paediatrician with over 25 years of experience in child health. She is recognised for establishing the first paediatric integrative medicine clinic and the first neurodevelopmental programme for children with autism and ADHD in the UAE.
Her extensive career has included senior appointments across the USA and the UAE. She began her practice as a Consultant Paediatrician at Hackensack Pediatrics in New Jersey (2002–2005), followed by a role as a Neonatal Hospitalist at Hackensack University Medical Center (2005–2006), where she cared for extremely premature and high-risk infants.
In 2006, Dr Bariah relocated to Dubai to join the American Hospital, where she provided inpatient and emergency care, neonatal services, and developmental assessments for children with ADHD and autism. From 2013, she served as Head of Paediatrics at Al Zahra Hospital, leading a team of 25 doctors and overseeing neonatal intensive care, well-child clinics, and developmental services.
Between 2017 and 2020, Dr Bariah worked with Novomed Centres, focusing on developmental paediatrics and integrative medicine. She then established the paediatric department at Fakeeh University Hospital (2020–2023), leading a team of 10 paediatricians and continuing her work in developmental and behavioural paediatrics.
